Meet some of the people we’ve helpedget mobility equipment! Cooper Roberts has Lennox Gastout Syndrome and CP. He uses a standard wheelchair and his family needed an adaptive van to get him places. Jack Flynt's beautiful wife passed away this year after a long battle with MS and he graciously donated their van to the Roberts family! Maddison Vaden is 13 years old and has Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy CP. Her family needed an adaptive van to get her to school and Doctor appointments. Tanner Ketchersid paid it forward and donated the Vaden family an adaptive van that had been donated to them after his daughter Kallie was in a car accident and suffered multiple injuries. She has since recovered well and no longer needed the van. Judith is a sweet girl who needed a standard walker to learn to walk again after multiple surgeries on her legs. She is now walking with minimal assistance! We are also getting an AFO for Judith to assist with foot clearance while walking. We were able to purchase a new Maclaren stroller for Miss Swayze! Now her parents can get her around easier. She loves it! Kennedi Diaz was 16 and had a rare form of cancer. She needed something to get around at school without using too much energy. Tammy Hooten donated a Jazzy to us last year and we were able to give it to Kennedi. Sadly, Kennedi lost her battle with cancer and is now in heaven with Colton. This is Amanda. She needed a specific gait training walker and we were able to get it for her! She has been standing and walking short distances with her PT, Kim. This is Bryce Triplett and his mom, Amanda. Our friends Wayne and Paulette Wheat donated their adaptive van to this family who was in desperate need for safe transportation to and from Doctor appointments in Ft Worth and to just get out and enjoy life! We got DaNycia this therapy bench for her positioning needs. Now she can play and interact while working on her sitting balance! This is Emmett. We were able to get him this Tomato chair for his positioning needs. Now he is able to sit up and interact with his family! Meet Julian. We were able to give him Colton's Levo power chair! Julian was Colton's first friend at MDA camp in 2017. They were Batman and Robin! This is Cat and her mom Andrea. Cat is going through chemo following a brain tumor surgery and has right sided weakness. We got her this Wonderfold wagon for when she gets tired during treatment. (Photo cred to Kami Hunt @ TTUHSC) This is Callie Noble and her beautiful family. Callie has limited motor function and requires a wheelchair to get around. We got them a trailer with a hydraulic lift for their vehicle, to make it easier for them to go places together. This is Maverick! He has a rare condition called Lissencephaly, causing developmental delays. We got him a Leckey Squiggles Chair for his positioning needs. Grant has Cerebellar Ataxia and uses a wheelchair to get around outside of his house. We got him this trailer to transport his wheelchair everywhere he goes! This is Brynn. She is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. We got her this Wonderfold wagon for transport around the hospital! This is adorable Rowan! He got a wonderfold wagon for safe transportation for him and all his medical equipment. This is Xavier. He has neuological blindness and increased muscle tone and was unable to sit up independently. We got him this Firefly Go To seat, which allows him to interact with his family and friends! This is Jamie, who has become a good friend of ours! He has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and uses a ventilator to breathe and we got him a portable suction machine for his wheelchair to make it easier to get out and enjoy life. We are also working on getting him an Ease cushion for pressure relief. This is Hunter! He is a precious soul who is battling Leukemia and Graft vs Host disease, which has caused weakness and difficulty breathing. We got him this portable power wheelchair so he can get around easier! We also got him a portable oxygen tank. He loves superheroes as much as Colton did!
